Location

This eco built semi-detached house is located near the services of Äkäslompolo, close to Kellokas Visitor Centre and next to a downhill skiing centre. There is a Skibus stop 200 meters away in Tunturitie. The illuminated cross country skiing tracks start practically from the yard.

Accommodation

The apartments have a modern, farmhouse type kitchen, two bedrooms and a loft with two sleeping alcoves. Both apartments are provided with all the necessary equipment for an enjoyable holiday; among other things mechanical ventilation and king size (220 cm) beds with cleansable eco woollen bed linen from Porin Villa ja Peite, hollow fibre pillows, covers of cotton satin and sheets of linen. According to its name, Päivänsäde (meaning "sunshine") is located on a slightly more sunny side of the property, but in the summer Menninkäinen catches the first rays of the morning.

Equipment

Remote controllable garage, an electric lock in the front door, an electric sauna stove for four people, a fireplace with a masonry oven, tableware for 16 people, a dining table for ten people, dishwasher, microwave oven, big fridge + refrigerator-freezer under the stairs, timed convection oven, glass-ceramic cooktop, two coffee makers and electric water boilers, toaster and a rice cooker with timer. Washer, dryer and drying cabinet. Flat screen tv, vcr, dvd-player, radio and a central vacuum cleaner. Excellent equipment for children; travel beds, high chairs, bath tubs, videos and toys for kids. Baby back packs, bicycle trailers, child seats for bikes, pulks, twin pram and one carrycot, sleds, bobsleighs etc. Two pieces of ski lift passes for a separate fee. A joint grill hut with a barbeque grill and comfortable reindeer skin rugs is located in the yard. During the summer months (June, July, August) there is a trampoline with a safety net for kids in the yard. See pictures of the equipment.

More information

Parking space for 3 cars per apartment, 3 toilets per apartment (each floor has its own). No pets allowed, no smoking inside the apartment.Small pets are allowed in apartment Menninkäinen. A cleaning fee of 1000 euros will be charged afterwards if pets are kept in apartment Päivänsäde, or if someone smokes indoors.
